From this rant
"I don't purport to speak for my entire cohort of peers, but as a 32-year-old who is forced to endure some mention of Vietnam from various politicians and/or pundits on a daily basis lately, I feel compelled to at least speak for myself and to tell the baby boomers: We. Do. Not. Care. -------
And I’m bored with it. Really. We all are. There have been a few decades since your quagmire ended. There were many decades before that, too. You want to talk about a war that truly had a profound effect on lots and lots of humans? Then talk about WWII. In fact, here’s a suggestion, take a look at Vietnam from the perspective of WWII and its aftermath as it pertains to the Soviets and communism. Might be rather instructive for some folks. "
PS As a boomer I'm fed up with it too-for those even more cynical about "My Generation" See this infrequently updated blog
