Wake up pharma-it's a global economy-Charge one price worldwide-US prices can come down-We don't want to be the world's designated driver anyway-
Subsidizing the worlds R&D is getting old-let the other developed countries pay their share-take charge of your own destiny-this means you Merck,Lilly, GSK etc

By the way-we are living longer and longer-think of all the great drugs coming off patent soon-if the dems destroy the industry the next generations of advances-Alzheimer's,cancer,parkinson's,diabetes,schizophrenia, pain -all these advances will disappear

Big Pharma's bread is buttered with government butter. They made a deal with the devil. Now the devil has come to collect. Bad for the rest of us. Good for them.

Speaking of drugs off pattent.

Let us look at anti-anxiety drugs. Pot - if legal - could replace a significant part of a $40 bn. a year market. Now guess who is one of the chief proponents of pot prohibition? Big Pharma.

I have zero sympathy for rent seekers.

AS long as there is demand there will be development. It may be done differently though.

BTW there is a body of research out there beginning to show that "addiction" is really self medication for medically unrecognized pain.
